A key trend in Hurley's Fall 2011 line is Military Prep. You'll see warm and cool prep pops paired back to authentic washed military tones. Style details are infused with military cues such as pocket shapes, style lines, and trim. Prep elements are featured on interiors with menswear stripe and plaid linings. Fall is all about layering textures and prints. Throughout the line you will find heavy canvas, twills, and chunky sweater knits. Looking at our favorite bottom, the 81 Legging, we offer a soft washed denim, pigment dyed twill, and fine wale cord.
What is Hurley doing differently this season for women’s fashion?
Our line is always true to the brand DNA, offering products through the lens of beach lifestyle and innovation. This Fall, we focused on our key business driving categories including bottoms, fleece, outerwear, and tees. Within these categories, we've expanded on our franchise styles for more variation within proven pieces.
What successful trends/styles have carried over from past seasons to this one?
The Winchester Jacket continues to be the cornerstone of our outerwear business. In Fall, we've made several enhancements to the garment including an updated super soft lightweight cotton/poly fabrication. New buttons, trim details, and collar construction take cues from our military inspiration. We have also introduced new washed down and sherpa-lined versions with an exposed metal zipper. The Wilson shirt has been a staple in our line and in addition to receiving both fabric and plaid updates, we are introducing the Lieutenant Wilson in a cotton herringbone with military-inspired details. The third key style in our line is the 81 Skinny Legging. We were excited about the opportunity to add newness to this classic denim silhouette with the introduction of twill and cord. The breathe in the assortment makes for a compelling offering in this great selling style.
