It’s hard to believe Labor Day Weekend is behind us, and Surf Expo‘s September show is this week. The show has a couple new additions this time around, and as the surf industry converges on the Orange County Convention Center, we want to keep you as updated as possible.

This Wednesday, September 6, Surf Expo’s annual Demo Day will grow with the addition of a roundtable discussion led by Sue Cooper of Lazy Dog Adventures. The water sports community is invited to join a candid discussion around the state of retail and service. Industry Awards Show 2017 at Surf Expo

A leadership summit meant to address the challenges facing the industry, this event will be held for the first time at Surf Expo and is open to members and non-members of the SUPIA. Over two days at the show, those interested will have a chance to participate in panel discussions, round tables, and a networking evening that also features the Association of Wind and Watersports Industry’s (AWWI) award show, which will honor the SUP athlete, brand and retailer of the year.

Barney Cools, BLDG Active, Levi’s, and Outdoor Tech are a few of the new brands gracing the show floor this September. A couple of these brands are located in The Neighborhood, which caters to surf lifestyle brands and will again feature a lounge curated by What Youth and a coffee bar by Commune and Co.
