Top parties and events happening this week at the Vans US Open

Once the sun goes down, the party starts.

The 2017 Vans US Open is in full swing, which means plenty of surfing action during the day, but also a variety of parties and premieres once the sun goes down.

If you’re in the Huntington Beach, CA area over the next 5 days, we’ve rounded up a few of the top parties and events this week holds below.


World Premiere of Shadow Company at Pacific City

Surfline, Pacific City, and Bungalow have come together to present the world premiere of Shadow Company to kick off the US Open.

All ages are invited to the event. According to the Pacific City website, the movie will play at 9:30pm both inside Bungalow and on Pacific City’s 2nd floor outdoor screen.


World premiere of surf film Greetings, presented by Vans

On Thursday night, Vans will be hosting the world premiere of the surf film Greetings. Check out the film on the Deck Two Movie Screen. The showing starts at 10:30pm.

Talk Story - Hosted by Peter Mel and Quiksilver

On Thursday, August 3 from 5-8pm, Quiksilver will gather brand athletes at their store on Main St. in Huntington Beach, hosted by Peter Mel. Catering will be provided by Wahoo’s.

ROOT film world premiere

On Thursday night at Holiday in Costa Mesa, the world premiere of Mikey Wright’s new film, ROOT, will be taking place form 8pm- 2am.

On Friday night, the OC Observatory will present the world premiere of Snapt3. Doors open at 7pm, and all ages are invited to attend.
