One area of the report we're excited about is the the consumer survey, based on a sample from Transworld Skateboarding's digital audience. The consumer survey takes a closer look at skaters' brand loyalties and influences to find out what they're buying, where they're buying it, and how often.

Skate hardgoods is arguably one of the most compelling categories in the business. A topic we were particularly interested in digging into deeper was what core skaters had to say about where they purchased their last board.

Consumers claimed to be more loyal to their local shops when it came to buying skate hardgoods than any other category, with almost 70% of them buying their last board from a specialty brick & mortar retailer. For those who do shop online, here’s a snapshot of what they are buying.
