The 2015 State of Skate Report, produced by Transworld Business in partnership with IASC, will be available later this month. The project involved in-depth surveys with specialty retailers and consumers to generate exclusive data and insights into the current state of the skate industry. Check out the summary below for more details (including an overview of the shops that participated) and look for additional content and statistics here on over the next few weeks.



Transworld Business and The International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) have collaborated on The State of Skate report to provide insightful data that members of the skateboarding industry can use to better run their businesses. The State of Skate 2015 combines proprietary research, third-party data, and direct access to the world's largest endemic consumer base to create a comprehensive snapshot of the current market, including retail trends and consumer behavior.

The consumer survey, based on a sample from Transworld Skateboarding's digital audience, takes a deep dive on skaters' brand loyalties and influences to find out what they're buying, where they're buying it, and how often. On the retail side, our unique survey reveals what's happening inside key specialty skate shops across the country, providing direct quantitative and qualitative information about the institutions that many consider to be the backbone of the skate industry.
