Stance proudly welcomes professional snowboarder and awesome human, Eric Jackson, as our newest Punk & Poet. Growing up riding in Mammoth, E-Jack made a name for himself through exploring the backcountry and setting himself apart from his peers through ingenuity and creativity on and off his board. His worldwide travels, love of new cultures and drive to break down ominous borders of the unknown are only a few of the things that make him the adventurous free spirit that we can’t help but gravitate to. Much more to come from E-Jack and Stance soon, for now, check out his welcome video.

Here’s more of Eric’s story from Stance:

Eric Jackson has always ridden on his own terms.  He grew up shooting with Standard Films and lapping the parks of Mammoth, where he also honed his appreciation for the mountains.  As a teenager, he began transitioning his park skills to the backcountry.  Thanks to his quiet confidence and ability to ride diverse terrain, E-Jack quickly garnered attention.  But just as quickly as he turned heads, he also encountered a string of injuries that kept him out of the spotlight for several years.  Rather than serving as setbacks, these injuries deepened E-Jack's commitment to riding while also providing fresh motivation.  Once healthy, E-Jack grew a beard, disappeared in the woods, and began filming with a new crew.  Fully focused on his riding, E-Jack finally hit his stride and earned Video Part of the Year in the TransWorld Snowboarding Riders' Poll Awards.  Without a doubt, he's now at the top of his game.  And whether jamming on the mandolin or throwing double corks in the backcountry, E-Jack is always at ease.
