The footwear brand expands its global roster of aspirational ambassadors, athletes and artists
IRVINE, Calif., January 11, 2016 — Sanuk, a division of Deckers Brands (NYSE: DECK), the not-so-typical footwear brand, announced this week the addition of Maddie Peterson to their growing roster of female ambassadors. An elite athlete, Maddie is nearly 18 years old and has already made a strong impression on the world of surfing. Hailing from New Jersey, Maddie splits time between New Jersey and Orange County among other locations training. Her hard work has paid off, as she is now a staple of the U.S. Surf Team, a NSSA National Champ and an ISA World Junior Medalist. Beyond being an accomplished surfer, Maddie embodies the fun, fearless spirit of Sanuk. When she's not surfing, Maddie is an ambassador for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and hosts an annual surf camp for the organization.
Recently, Sanuk has been expanding their women's product offerings with fresh innovative styles such as the closed-toe Alphie Collection and remixed classics with the Yoga Mat Collection. Additionally, they have added numerous female ambassadors to their roster from the surf community and beyond.
