TransWorld Business Party In The Back is a new column featuring industry events and party photos on the back end of every week (i.e. Friday). If there’s one thing this industry knows how to do, it’s party – and who doesn’t want to see photos from the latest industry bashes, contests and networking events? That’s what we thought.
Did we miss your party? If so, please submit photos to us by no later than Thursday morning at [email protected]

Reef and 31 Bits hosted a launch party for the Reef Ugandal Sandal and the soon to be launched Ugandal 2 on Thursday, April 1, at Syrah in downtown San Diego. The party celebrated the collaboration between Reef’s Ugandals (sandals that feature hand-crafted paper beads made by displaced women in Uganda) and 31 Bits, an organization that practices Fair Trade, advocates for fair wages for women and empowers women to learn business practices to expose their craft to the international market. A 40 person bus shuttled Reef crew, retailers and friends from Hansen’s in Encinitas and South Coast O.B. to underground wine parlor Syrah.
