The North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce is set to discuss the area’s skiing future at its annual Chamber Membership Luncheon on Oct. 27.
This years luncheon presentation will be called “The Changing Face of the North Lake Tahoe Ski Industry”, and guest speakers will include Vail Resorts’ Bill Rock, JMA Ventures’ Art Chapman and Squaw Valley Ski Holdings’ Andy Wirth.
Discussions will include the recent merger of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, as well as what else may be in the future for North Lake Tahoe.

The North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Chamber Membership Luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 27, at noon, with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m., at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach.
This year’s presentation is titled "The Changing Face of the North Lake Tahoe Ski Industry," with a guest speaker panel that includes Vail Resorts’ Bill Rock, general manager of Northstar-at-Tahoe; JMA Ventures’ Art Chapman, who oversees Homewood Mountain Resort and is part of the ownership of Alpine Meadows Ski Resort; and Squaw Valley Ski Holdings’ Andy Wirth, chief executive officer of Squaw Valley USA and Alpine Meadows.
Luncheon attendees will learn about the future of skiing in North Lake Tahoe, what’s new on the mountains and what the merger of Alpine and Squaw means for employees and guests.
Bella Affair will cater the luncheon. Cost is $35/per person for chamber members and $45/per person for non-chamber members before Monday, Oct. 24, and $40/members and $50/non-members afterward.
