High-performance wax manufacturer, Wax Research, Inc. has announced that Lindsey Jacobellis has joined the WEND Wax World Team.
At 26 years old, Jacobellis is known as one of the most successful women snowboarders of all time. On top of being a two-time Olympian with a silver medal at Torino, three-time SBX World Cup Champion, and seven-time X Games Gold medalist, Jacobellis holds a record setting twenty-five World Cup victories in SBX & Halfpipe. Jacobellis jumps on the WEND snow wax World Team roster, as John Dahl, President of Wax Research, gladly welcomes her.
“The guys at Wax Research have been nothing but great to me over the years with regards to all my surfing needs”, said Jacobellis. “When they approached me regarding WEND Snow Wax it was logical that I would jump at the chance to be on the team. Couple that with their commitment to helping the Breast Cancer cause, and it adds up to a great partnership. I look forward to doing my best to promote their efforts.”
“We’ve keep Lindsey supplied with Sticky Bumps surf wax and accessories for years,” noted John Dahl, President of Wax Research. “It’s only natural, as our product evolved into a hi-performance snow wax, to have her part of our WEND program. Lindsey is the icing on the cake of a phenomenal group of riders that make up our world team.”
Jacobellis is a supporter of Breast Cancer research. Having her mother diagnosed with breast cancer, but being able to defeat it thanks to early detection, she has partnered with a non-profit Keep A Breast Foundation to raise funds for Breast Cancer research. Wax Research and WEND have come on to support the cause as well.
