Salomon Snowboards bulks up its marketing efforts by hiring industry veteran Kevin Stevenson to fill a newly created Marketing Coordinator position in its Portland, Oregon offices this week.

"Kevin is a perfect fit for what we're trying to do with this brand.  He's a good dude and is down to do the right thing for snowboarding.  Salomon's got a ton of momentum right now and Kevin's the missing link that's gonna take shit to the next level," said Global Team Manager Java Fernandez.

Stevenson joins Salomon with an extensive background in both marketing and sales within the snowboard industry, most recently with Nike Snowboarding.  Prior to Nike, he managed marketing and events for core snowboard shop Exit Real World and paid his dues with 4 years in sales and marketing at Sessions.

“I’m really hyped on the opportunity to work with such a great group of people that share the same passion for snowboarding.  From the product offering to the diverse pro team that represents it, everything is sick. The future is bright for Salomon Snowboards and I’m stoked to be a part of it,” said Stevenson.

Stevenson will coordinate ad buys, trade show booths, websites, and various marketing functions for the Salomon brand based out of the Salomon and Bonfire Alliance office in Portland, Oregon.

"Kevin's natural enthusiasm for shredding is so legit – he's a great addition to our company and riding family here in Portland. His role is critical in keeping our team the center of our marketing efforts and product creation," said Marketing Director Brad Steward.
