Join Clay Marzo and Robert Yehling, authors of Just Add Water: A Surfing Savant’s Life with Asperger’s
Robert Yehling said in an interview with Stab Magazine, “I knew of Clay’s surfing greatness, and had been following him off and on since he won the NSSA Men’s Nationals in 2006 with a perfect score. Clay always stood out to me because of his incredible surfing ability, his originality, and the way he didn’t march to anyone else’s beat. I particularly love how he’s such a great above the wave surfer. His aerials, re-entries, and positioning for those re-entries is off the charts. Then he throws down his reverse throw tails and we all wonder how he still has a functioning lower back. Like everyone else, I heard of the Asperger’s diagnosis when I watched the documentary Just Add Water.”
“Details the life of Clay Marzo with tact and illumination…in a very real and raw way that captures the reader’s attention.” — Freesurf Magazine

Caulerpa Conquest, the true story of eradicating Caulerpa taxifolia, the first known detection in the Western hemisphere. In a rare success story against ocean-based invasive species, he connects the dots from local lagoon waters to foreign coastlines including Australia, Croatia, France and Monaco.

9th Annual Gala Fundraiser: Honoring surf legend Nat Young
Saturday, October 29, 2016
SpringHill Suites Marriott, Oceanside
Thirty years ago the California Surf Museum was founded to preserve our surfing heritage, it is unmatched in its role to showcase and share this rich history with the thousands of visitors both young and old who come through its doors to experience the lifestyle of the sport through its art, culture and history. The Gala is the most important fundraising effort the California Surf Museum produces to raise the capital needed in order for the museum to continue producing the many exciting special events and exhibits for the education and enjoyment of future generations.
The board of directors and staff of the California Surf Museum invite you to come celebrate this special milestone at the 9th Annual Gala Fundraiser, Saturday, October 29, on the ocean view terrace at the SpringHill Suites Marriott, Oceanside.
