Yesterday, Dakine announced the appointment of David Orr as global general manager. Orr is a veteran in the outdoor and sporting goods industries and will be responsible for leading all aspects of product creation, sales and operations for Dakine.

Dakine was recently acquired by Marquee Brands for an undisclosed amount.

Orr previously served in global marketing leadership roles at Keen, Timberland, Reyn Spooner, adidas and mostly recently founded Strategic Sales Solutions LLC, a consulting company helping brands and organizations successfully position themselves based on their vision, mission and core competencies.
