Outdoor Retailer Marketing Manager Ginger Conrad’s last day at parent company Nielsen will be this Friday as she gets ready to transition into her new roll of marketing manager for Freedom Interactive, part of Freedom Communications, the parent company of the Orange Country Register. Her first day will be Monday, October 17.

“The exciting part is that my new marketing focus will be solely in the digital world,” explains Conrad. “I’ll analyze web, email newsletters, deal-of-the-day, mobile app, and social media campaigns. I’ll find ways to get growth in subscriptions, click thru rates, social media, follows, etc. I’ll share best practices with all Freedom entities and monitor success. I’ll also work closely with 3rd party vendors that supply deployment services, mobile app development and such, to verify that we remain at the cutting edge of the interactive world and we break new barriers.”

Conrad, who was formerly with Burton Snowboards, says she’s excited for her new endeavor following the last 2 1/2 years at Nielsen, where she has played a major roll in expanding Outdoor Retailers’ cutting edge digital strategy.
