Leading up to New Year’s Eve, TransWorld SKATEboarding managing editor Brian Blakely was involved in an ATV accident, which resulted in a severe injury to his right arm.

Luckily, multiple witnesses rushed to his aid with a make-shift tourniquet that ended up saving his life, after the ATV he was riding in flipped multiple times. Blakely was life flighted to Escondido and then to San Diego, but doctors were unable to save his right arm due to the severity of his injuries.

Since the accident, an outpouring of support from the skate industry and beyond has mobilized to help Blakely with his hospital bills and expenses – which, as expected, are significant.

To further rally and engage the community, and help Brian’s GoFundMe page reach it’s goal of $50,000, Beach Grease Beer Co. is hosting a fundraiser at their Vista, California, brewery and headquarters Sunday, January 6, from 12-9 p.m.
