September 18, 2015 – Last night, Burton Snowboards officially launched their Fall/Winter 2016 collection with global launch parties in New York, Munich, Tokyo and Toronto. Snowboard fans gathered around the world to celebrate the launch of the new Burton gear on Burton.com and get a first look at the highly anticipated teasers of the brand's latest online video series "Burton Girls Presents" and "Burton Presents".
The New York City event went down in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at the famed music venue, Brooklyn Bowl. Doors opened early at 7pm with DJ Soul and Uncle Mike in the DJ booth to warm up the crowd for the highlight of the evening – a first look at the video teasers for Burton Girls Presents and Burton Presents. More than 600 people packed the venue and broke into applause when Jack Mitrani came on stage to introduce Burton Team Riders Mark McMorris, Ethan Deiss, Kimmy Fasani, Kelly Clark and Danny Davis before rolling the teasers.
Kicking things off first was the Burton Girls teaser for the three-part video series, 'All Day, All Night, All Time', that celebrates the snowboarding lifestyle. Then the 'Burton Presents' teaser rolled, which opens with a creative intro filmed at Jake and Donna's house in Stowe, Vermont and then segues into mind-blowing action footage. Ben Ferguson's part was definitely a crowd favorite, along with the closing segment with snowboarding legend Terje Haakonsen and Danny Davis riding waist-deep powder.
After the teasers finished up, guests had a chance to try out their bowling skills at Brooklyn Bowl's famed lanes. And things just got better as the night went on when Questlove from The Roots and band leader of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon fame took over the DJ booth for his weekly Thursday night 'Bowl Train' event.
