Following a less than stellar retail ski season, the Ski & Golf stores have purchased unsold gear from last season, and the excessive inventory means great selection and unbeatable prices. The epicenter of the sale occurs in the parking lot of the Aurora Colorado Ski & Golf under the circus-style tent beginning Saturday, Sept. 1 and continuing through Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012. The new gear is primarily last year's models and styles but shoppers can also find discounts on the latest equipment for the 2012-13 season. Skiers and riders can also purchase their Epic passes for Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin at all locations.
SKI REX hours are Saturday, Sept. 1 from 9am to 6pm and Sunday, Sept. 2 from 10am to 5pm and the final day under the tent is Labor Day Monday from 10am to 5pm. Sale prices are available until Sunday, Sept. 16 and inside the following Colorado Ski & Golf stores:

Junior Trade In Program
Junior Trade In, the best ski and snowboard rental package program in Colorado, is also available during SKI REX. The 25 year-old equipment exchange program for kids ages 4-18 has launched thousands of young skiers and riders with its budget-friendly pricing. Prices remain the same this year with a complete set of used equipment including skis, boots, bindings and a safety binding check for $99.99. Equipment can be returned the following year at the end of the 2013 season and parents can refit their kids into a different set of used equipment for the next season. The net cost per child after the first year is $49.99 per year! The Junior Trade-In is also offered on new equipment with setups starting at $199.99. Equipment returned by March 31gets a 50 percent discount on next year's equipment–$99.99/year after the first year! Kids who love their current equipment can opt to keep it for two years and return it for a 30 percent discount after two seasons. Ski and Snowboard Recycling
For the fifth consecutive year, all Colorado Ski & Golf stores, Colorado Ski & Sports, and Boulder Ski Deals are offering onsite drop off for ski and snowboard recycling. Skiers and riders can bring unwanted skis, snowboards, cross-country skis, boots, poles and bindings to all locations. Equipment in good condition is donated to charitable domestic programs. Equipment that isn't safe or usable is transported to a recycling facility.A small fee is added to the purchase of new adult skis, snowboards and boots to help defray the costs with all proceeds donated to Snowsports Industries America (SIA) to support their national Ski and Snowboard Recycling Program.
