Agenda Vegas, Winter 2016

Congrats. You survived. Agenda Las Vegas is a wrap, and for most, it marks the final stop on the tradeshow circuit.

Agenda Vegas was buzzing with traffic during the three-day show and true to classic Vegas style, the days were just as crazy as the nights. The crew at Agenda and New Balance provided relief to the struggling party-goers wth a “hangover breakfast.” Genius.

Water-Wicking Tech

Some technology trends highlighted water-wicking features on various products within brands. A few standouts included Melin’s “Watermelin” H2O compatible headwear collection and Native Shoes Hydro line of winterized boots. The Hydro line uses Scotch Guard treatments on their “Beast-free” boots, calling it their “Defender” series.

Street-Art

Street-art inspired designs have been a constant theme linking the tradeshows this season, and Las Vegas was no exception. Ećko had artists on the floor creating some impressive murals, while Champion had Andre Trenier at their booth painting hip-hop inspired canvases. Seventh Layers also showcased some cool art pieces in their booth that caught our eye.

Collaborations

Collaborations were also a strong theme at Agenda Vegas. The continuation of the ‘47 brand x 686 collection is growing, and at the Vegas show ’47 highlighted a line of street-wear jackets and headwear.

In terms of footwear, Diamond Supply showcased their Torrey Pudwill pro-model skate shoes for Fall ’16. The colorways included a lighter blue and mustard yellow. Retailers were packing the Diamond booth all show, probably waiting for a peek at Pudwill’s collection.

With 5 o’clock beers and good friends, we’ll close out our Agenda Vegas recap with the most cliche of statements: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” Onto the next…
