When we heard Spy was going to rent a beachfront mansion right here in Carlsbad and they wanted us to hang out for the day, it was all hands on deck for the Spy Boot Camp “Surf Day”. As luck would have it, the sun finally came out and a little south swell managed to pop up out of nowhere.
If you surfed as good as Parker Coffin your head would be big too.
The reason Spy rented the multimillion dollar pad was to reward their top 9 retailers and one lucky consumer who won an online contest. The day we hung out was simply called “Surf Day” with the Spy team riders Ben Bourgeois, Parker Coffin, Nick Rupp, and Dean “Dingo” Morrison and a couple of us from TransWorld SURF. Anyway, we all left with a good sunburn, a solid buzz, and sore shoulders from not one, not two, but four surf sessions!
