Melbourne, Australia, next up for a Wavegarden-powered wave pool

The Wavegarden technology is finally going to open a wave pool in a place that's already a surf destination.

Come late 2017, Australia will finally get its first wave pool. While other areas less crowded with surfers have gotten their share of artificial waves, Australia is long overdue.

Utilizing the Wavegarden technology like Surf Snowdonia and the soon-to-be-opened NLand wave in Austin, Texas, URBNSurf will be one of Wavegarden’s first ventures within a heavily populated coastal city.

Lots of information has yet to be released, but one glaring question is will it help to thin out lineups? With plenty of questions to be answered in the coming time, URBNSurf’s progression will be one we will be monitoring closely.
