BRA Boy Koby Abberton has been charged with assault by a Hawaiian court after allegedly punching a man in the face during a club brawl in Honolulu.

The fight, which erupted outside a nightclub in the capital city about 1.35am on March 8, invovled up to eight men, Honolulu police last night told The Daily Telegraph.

The professional surfer allegedly punched a 27-year-old man, who was beleived to be attempting to break up the fight, in the face during the melee.

He was handcuffed and arrested at the scene by local police officers and taken into custody.

“At the station he was charged with assault in the third degree, which is a misdemeanor charge,” police said.

Abberton was granted bail and is expected to go before a magistrate in the next few days, as court dates in Hawaii are set three weeks from the day of the offence.
