Being an old pro snowboarder apparently has its perks.
Andy Finch and Tommy Czeschin, who have seen better days in the snowboard contest world, are testing their hands at new type of competition on the Amazing Race. The former Olympic snowboarders will be on season 19 of CBS’s hit show.
They will be competing against 10 other duos for the final prize of 1 million dollars. The other teams are made up of couples, siblings, father-son combos, and two cocktail servers from Vegas that seem to pack a punch.
While Finch and Czeschin have their work cut out for them, their prior careers as pro shreds will certainly come into play while navigating travel plans throughout the competition.
In an interview on CBS.com Finch said he hopes “to win some pretty cool prizes that I can share with my wife. I’m pretty set on taking everyone down!”
Czeschin is determined to win also and said he looks forward to ”the experience, traveling the world, competing, and getting to know the other teams.”
Admittingly, we’ve never watched the show. Not sure if we will, but you can tune to CBS on September 25th for the Amazing Race’s Premiere.
THE AMAZING RACE is a seven-time Emmy Award-winning reality series hosted by Emmy Award- nominated host Phil Keoghan, which pits 11 teams, each comprised of two members, against each other on a trek around the world for approximately 25 days. At every destination, each team must compete in a series of challenges, some mental and some physical, and only when the tasks are completed will they learn of their next location. Teams who are the farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million.
