On Thursday, to tease the release of their new 30-minute documentary Generations of Freeskiing, Red Bull released a short, three-minute trailer titled “50 Years of Style” that looks at a condensed version of the fashion and skiing styles that have defined the history of freeskiing.

Jam-packed with lots of neon jackets, XXXL baggy shirts and with a guest appearance from the often forgotten snowblades, it’s an entertaining look at just how far the sport has come:

Seeing as it’s produced by Red Bull, it should come as no surprise that the skiers in the film constitute a who’s who of some of the biggest names at the forefront of progressing modern-day freeskiing.

Everyone from Jon Olsson to Nick Goepper to Jesper Tjader lend their talents to this homage to skiing’s past.

And when you’re done watching it, dig into the back of your closet and pull out your old snowblades. As Stephen King once said, “Sooner or later, everything old is new again.”
