Skateboarders are often those people who can’t help imagining skating everything they encounter. And one of the holy grails in that realm would be getting to skate an amusement park.

Finnish skater Jaakko Ojanen got to do just that recently thanks to his sponsor Red Bull. He took to the Särkänniemi amusement park in his hometown of Tampere and essentially got to have free rein of the park at night while it was completely empty.

The midnight theme park session was one Ojanen had dreamed of since visiting Särkänniemi as a child.

As Red Bull says of the concept, “Growing up enjoying its usual blend of swings, slides and coasters, Ojanen knew there was much more on offer than meets the standard eye.”

The edit surely speaks to Ojanen’s intimate knowledge of the park, and his ability to make the most of the surroundings and features. Certainly it was a long-time coming for the Finnish skater.
