There’s going to be some changes coming to Dew Tour, changes that skateboarder Sean Malto is very excited for.
The Dew Tour has announced a new strategic partner in its goal of bringing the best of the action sports world to its core fans: The Enthusiast Network (our parent company here at GrindTV).
“It's going to be completely different than what it has been in the past,” Malto says in a new video from the Dew Tour. “It’s not going to be a conventional skate park. They’re going to break the course down into four different sections: One course is all gaps, one course is all rails, and then there's a technical section and the last one is transition.”
Another change Malto notes: Dew Tour will include a new contest that will bring in nine skateboard teams consisting of four skaters each, wherein each team will have to select one member to skate each of the four sections in an effort to prove who is the most well-rounded team.
The new Dew Tour will make its way to Long Beach, California, on July 23 and 24. The newly formatted event will also feature some of the biggest musical acts in the world, to be announced shortly.
More information about the summer Dew Tour stop, as well as the winter stop, will be coming on the new Dewtour.com, which will launch on May 3.
