"I appreciate everyone. I'm glad to end it here in Minneapolis."

Legendary vert/big-air skateboarder Bob Burnquist announced his retirement from competing on the X Games stage this past Saturday at X Games Minneapolis, after over 20 years of stellar performances.

“My story started back in ’95, here at X Games; this was my last one, 2017,” Burnquist said in his post-event interview. “I appreciate everyone. I’m glad to end it here in Minneapolis.”

“I’ll keep skating. Obviously it’s not retirement ... there’s no such thing,” Burnquist continued. “But my story here is done.”
