Fifty years ago, Evel Knievel made his attempt at jumping the fountain in front of Caesar’s Palace. Despite crashing dramatically and suffering injuries that nearly killed him, it was an iconic stunt that few have forgotten to this day. In honor of the motorcycle stuntman who paved the way for athlete’s like himself, Travis Pastrana set out to recreate three of Knievel’s most iconic jumps in one night in Las Vegas, NV. In typical Pastrana fashion, he went above and beyond by exceeding the distance and number of vehicles that Knievel jumped. Posted below are all three jumps, courtesy of HISTORY and Nitro Circus, and for more information on the event, check out the full press release.
