There’s always something interesting going on at the TransWorld Motocross offices, and on Monday, our phones and inboxes began to blow up with news about our most recent #twmxpinup poster model, Elizabeth Chateau. A regular competitor in the women’s beginner class at the TWMX Race Series events, Corinna Conway [Elizabeth Chateau is her stage name] succeeded in winning the Fall Classic Series, topping CRF150R-mounted Wendi Smith in the final points. In recent months, Conway has swept through the Instagram community, gaining over fifty-thousand followers, with many of them being from the motocross industry. As a result, @misselli_luv claimed to have wracked up an impressive list of sponsors, including FMF, Fly Racing, Torq1 and more.
On February 9, Chateau was arrested and booked for investigation of grand theft, embezzlement, and possessing stolen property, according to THIS report in the Press Enterprise. We were shocked, naturally, as Conway told us for our Pinned Up feature that she was, “a psychology student and part-time model who plans to race Arenacross in 2016.”
Conway’s first court date was set to take place this morning at 8:00 a.m. in the Riverside Hall of Justice. Whether she’s found innocent or guilty, one thing is for sure; we’ll always remember the March 2016 poster!
