A few years ago the crew at Monster Energy Kawasaki dug through the part bins at their race shop and created a special project bike for Ryan Villopoto. Using works pieces from the James Stewart era, mechanic Mike Williamson fully restored a KX250 two-stroke motorcycle and put a few touches on it just for RV2. Although the bike is an incredible piece, it’s barely been used since the last bolt was tightened. We managed to get Villopoto to pour some gas in the tank for our original Premix movie a few years back and that ultimately led to his involvement in the 2017 Red Bull Straight Rhythm. Sure, the bike looked much different in this video than it did in years past, but trust us when we say it’s the same special KX underneath the chrome painted plastics…
