The KTM JR Supercross Challenge has long been a part of the night show at Monster Energy Supercross, and it continues on in 2016. At select rounds of the professional series, fifteen young riders are selected at random, given Troy Lee Designs gear, GoPro session cameras, Oakley goggles, and Leatt protective equipment. Once they’re fitted and figure out the bike, they are brought onto the track for a three-lap moto in front of a packed stadium of fans. It’s an experience that few other sports offer and has been a part of many careers, including reigning SX champion Ryan Dungey. The entry lists are currently full for 2016, but according to Jen Kenyon, things are already ramping up for 2017.
