Larry Shank and his dad had a very unique relationship. His dad called him “pal” and he called his dad “sir.” And together (along with Mom), they explored the southwest in the 1950s and beyond in this amazing 1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B and 1947 Ken-Skill Kustom Kamper Model 10 attached. Needless to say, this rig is beyond cool.

From a young age, Larry was taught responsibility and respect for the Jeep. It helped them go places others couldn’t, by off-roading, so serenity and tranquility were all theirs. He and his dad took extremely good care of it, with the elder Shank letting Larry help all along the way.

Doesn't that just make you wanna pack up and hit the road?

At 18, Larry’s dad gave him the title as a gift and it’s been his ever since. He’s cherished it since boyhood and he knows that it was this adventuremobile, and the places it took them, that brought him and his father together (and that much closer).
