A group of veterans were riding their motorcycles near Allaire State Park in Monmouth County, New Jersey on Friday and stopped to help a fellow biker out whose bike had broken down. Much to their surprise, the biker in need of help was none other than Bruce Springsteen.

Post 54 Legion Riders Dan Barkalow and Bob Grigs were on a pleasant Veterans Day ride when they noticed a fellow biker broken down. As Barkalow told The Associated Press, “Bikers gotta stick together. I stopped to see if he needed help, and it was Bruce.”

The veterans attempted to help Springsteen get his bike started again, but to no avail. When they realized it needed to be brought to a mechanic, The Boss hopped on the back of one of their bikes and they headed to a nearby bar to wait for his ride home.

Springsteen, who is from Freehold not far away, bought them a round of beers and left a nice tip for the staff, according to The Huffington Post.

Just goes to show that you should always help out others in need of help.
