Entering this 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season, Blake Baggett caught fire early on to make his presence known as a title contender. Gaining the points lead at round four, momentum and speed were both going Blakes way. Injury struck at Red Bud after a crash, and news circled that he may need surgery on a torn ligament in his throttle hand thumb. Gritting past the pain, Blake hasn't missed one round and has since then kept up his chase on Eli Tomac alive throughout these remaining rounds, and he’ll undergo surgery immediately after the final round. We caught up with him to hear more about the effort put in and unique methods used to deal with the injury to keep him competitive by any means necessary.
