Upon seeing baitfish surface a few hundred yards from the Seabrook Beach in New Hampshire, Mike Lamagna grabbed his fly rod, jumped on his paddleboard and headed out to possibly catch a bluefish or striped bass.

Instead, Lamagna caught an incredible sight on his GoPro camera strapped to his head. CBS Boston has the story:

"I was on the paddleboard fishing, and I heard a sound to my right," the 30-year-old fisherman explained to the Boston Globe. "I spun around, and that's when my GoPro video caught the humpback. I definitely thought I was going in. But it seems like it just came up to check me out and then gently swam away.

"I knew they were in the area, but they were still pretty far away at the time. I didn't think I was going to get that close to one at all.

"It was a pretty wild experience."
