Johnny’s bike starts out with a Subrosa Joris Coulomb OM frame—which he described as, “the best frame I’ve ever ridden so far”—and the rest of his bike is rounded out with Shadow parts.

Describe your bike for us… What makes it your ride?
Bar position is slightly forward past the fork and about 40 psi.

What are you most particular about on your bike?
I’m most particular about my tires, grips and my bar position. My bars can’t be too far forward, my grips can’t be too sweaty and my tire pressure has to be set up to what I like.

What part of your bike do you hate working on the most?
I hate working on my wheels. Every time I try to tighten my spokes something goes wrong [laughs].

Are you more of a change parts out as they go, or build up a new bike kind of guy?
I usually run parts until they break, but it’s always nice to build a fresh whip.

What was the last thing you made to your bike that made a big difference? A game changer even…
Last thing I changed to my bike that made a difference was switching frames up and going to the Subrosa Joris Coulomb OM frame. Everything about the frame is perfect for my riding style. I’ve only been riding it for a couple months now, but it is the best frame I’ve ever ridden so far—definitely a game changer.
