David over at Fly sent over specs and info about the third rendition of Kevin Porter’s signature frame. I have to say that those integrated dropouts make the the frame look like silk…
“2010 products – Tierra V3 frame
Here is the info about the third version of the Kevin's Tierra frame that will be available in just a few days! And here are the changes from the last model:
Like on all our new 2010 frames, it comes with the integrated dropouts. On the tierra we designed this smooth and clean design with really small dropouts. They are so small that there are no room for the removable chain tensioner so we included integrated ones.
TAPED TOP AND DOWN TUBES.
With more diameter where you need it. On the head tube junction. And less where you don't need it, on the bb and seat tube. Also seat tube is slightly taped to save some weight.
HORIZONTAL CUT SEAT CLAMP.
Just tight the bolt a bit and it's on place. No more broken bolts.
ROUNDED SHAPE BOTTOM BRACKET AND HEADTUBE.
They now match better with the oval bridges
NEW SMALL SIZE
Along with the 20.6" and 21" now we have a very fun small size 19.6" for small riders and for street-ramp-flatland.
The weight is 2.135grs / 4.7lb. and you have it in black and mint. Same colors on the Tierra bars. We hope you like it!”
