Bono bike ride

Ever wonder what it’s like to ride bikes with Bono? You could find out! Photo: Omaze

Starting Dec. 1, you could enter for a chance to ride bikes with U2 front man Bono.

The musician is auctioning off a bike ride in Central Park to benefit his RED organization, which raises money to fight AIDS.

He told The Associate Press the ride will visit the location where he seriously injured himself on a bike a year ago.

Last November, he had a collision with another biker and required five hours of surgery to heal multiple fractures in his eye, shoulder and finger.

“I’m not sure that was as funny to my band as it was to me,” Bono told The AP. “But I think we’re going to have fun and yeah, we’ll go visit the scene of the crime.”

One person will be chosen and flown out with a guest to stay at a hotel in New York and ride around Central Park with Bono.

The bike ride includes a stop for ice cream because everyone knows how much Bono loves his dairy treats.

It’s part of the Shopathon giveaway that launches on World Aids Day.

Other celebrities have donated their time as well.

People can enter to win a session with George Clooney in which he showers you with compliments or a trip to the Game of Thrones set where you can sit on the Iron Throne.

Entries start at $10 a piece and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation are matching contributions up to $20 million.
