Massive sandstorm swallows small town in China

A massive sandstorm swallowed the small town of Ejina in Inner Mongolia in northern China, sending resident scurrying for cover on Wednesday afternoon.

A taxi driver can be seen taking video or photos of the rolling cloud of sand in a video posted by the Daily Mail:

People can be heard telling others to make sure doors are shut as the sandstorm rolls in.

China Plus News has a few photos that show the approaching sandstorm as it engulfs the town.

Sandstorms are said to be a big problem in northern China, particularly in Inner Mongolia, according to the Daily Mail. In May, a sandstorm from Inner Mongolia engulfed Beijing, which brought the capital city to a standstill.
