If you’re headed out to spend time with family and friends for the holiday next week, and want to bring a little more than just cold beer, we've got you covered. These three cocktail recipes are easy to drink and fun to make.

Surf Trip

Nothing says sand and surf like coconut and lime.


-1.5 oz white rum

-1 oz cream of coconut (Coco Goya)

-0.5 oz lime juice (fresh squeezed)

Keep it classy.

-Put all three ingredients in a shaker with ice.

-Shake for 30 seconds.

-Strain in a rocks or coupe glass.

-Garnish with a thin slice of lime or lime zest.

Velvet Surprise

Van? Check. Sand? Check. Maple Syrup? …Why not?

-2 oz tequila

-0.5 oz Grand Marnier

-1 oz Stash Meyer Lemon herbal tea (We brewed 3 bags in 8 ounces of water for extra strength.)

-0.5 oz maple syrup

This offbeat beauty is ready to drink.

-Put all ingredients into a shaker with ice.

-Shake for 30 seconds.

-Strain in a glass filled with ice or drink straight up.

Moon Drop Guzzler

Make sure to boat responsibly.


-2 oz vodka

-1 oz lemon juice (fresh squeezed)

-0.5 oz thyme simple syrup (heat ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar, handful of fresh thyme sprigs until sugar dissolves. Let cool, then remove thyme.)

-5 grapes (We used Moon Drop grapes, but any type of grapes will do.)

-Splash of tonic

Summertime nostalgia in a glass.

-Put grapes in shaker and muddle.

-Add vodka, lemon juice, thyme simple syrup and ice.

-Shake for 30 seconds.

-Strain into a glass and top with a splash of tonic.

-Thinly slice grapes into a few slivers and float in drink. Enjoy!
