Vintage Electric has just announced their collaboration with Jeff Clark, the Vintage Electric Jeff Clark Signature Cruz.
The founder of the Titans of Maverick Surf Contest, Clark helped usher in a new genre of surfing in the mid-70s. Clark and Vintage Electric’s signature bike, an electric bike with a surf focus, is a testament to that legacy.
"As a transportation company, Vintage Electric has always appreciated a different way to get around whether it's on land or water," says Scott Brown, CEO of Vintage Electric. “Jeff builds his boards with the same sense we build our bikes – with a vision to be the best and inspire people to ride and feel free, and capable of anything.”
The Signature Cruz features a 702-watt hour lithium battery, a direct drive rear hub motor, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and a Brooks saddle and grips. The Cruz tops out at 36 mph in Race Mode.
The bike also features some surf-centric accessories, including a removable surf rack topped with Brooks leather, a custom rear rack that provides storage (and a bottle opener), insulated panniers that double as a cooler, and integrated front and rear LED lights that help keep you safe on pre-dawn and after-dark roadways.
The Vintage Electric Jeff Clark Signature Cruz retails for $5,995. There will only be 20 of these bikes ever made, so if you’re interested, we recommend moving quickly.
