Leila Hurst on Cote's Cube!

Leila Hurst on Cote’s Cube!

Leila Hurst is a supremely talented young surfer, and has plenty to offer other than her great frontside snap and good looks. Leila's summer has included time in the Vans design studio, where she helped create the new Leila Hurst X Vans clothing line that was just released at the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California.

As if competing, signing autographs, and dropping a new clothing line weren’t enough, Leila recently lent a hand to the Life Rolls On Organization. She took to the water during the Life Rolls On Expression Session with her sister, Sofia, who was born with a congenital disorder called Spina Bifida, which makes surfing an incredible challenge but one that Leila was more than happy to help her achieve.

"Surfing with my sister is a dream come true,"says Leila. "I'm so happy to be a part of the Life Rolls On family; it's changed my sister's life and mine along with it. It's an incredible organization, and I'll be a part of it for the rest of my life. That's for sure."

Leila is one of the most positive and coolest people I've ever had on Cote's Cube, and while her surf resume is impressive—with a junior world title, a Triple Crown rookie of the year award, and hundreds of other top finishes in amateur and pro events—to me, it's her attitude and outlook that make her one of my favorite surfers. Leila rules! Watch this episode of Cote's Cube and you'll see why.
