Fourteen-year-old Ashima Shiraishi is the definition of the word prodigy. She has more accolades in the climbing world than most accomplished climbers attain in an entire lifetime — all while attending school in New York City!

On March 22, Shiraishi became the youngest climber ever, and only female, to send a V15 (the second most difficult grading) when she finished Horizon on the island of Kyushu in southern Japan. She completed the 30-move boulder problem during her spring break, no big deal.

Shiraishi had attempted the problem twice before, but had to stop due to wet rocks. Having accomplished this tremendous feat, the sky truly is the limit for her. The footage of the historic climb will be featured in a new rock climbing film, Reel Rock 11.
